About the Artwork: The Passing The Feather Youth Council wanted to support local indigenous artists in the Timiskaming and Cochrane District through this project. The Youth Council commissioned Wayne Mckenzie who is an Indigenous artist from Timiskaming First Nation. He created a beautiful custom painting for the podcast cover using the youth’s concepts and ideas. The youth provided Wayne with the idea of having two hands holding a microphone and a feather; they wanted the painting to include vibrant colours and woodland style flowers. Wayne did a wonderful job bringing their vision to life!
